E-services from CAMS
By Our Corporate Reporter

CHENNAI, MAY 30. The Chennai based Computer Age Management Services (CAMS), registrar and transfer agent to a number of mutual funds, has introduced a range of E-services for investors and distributors of these schemes through its web site http:/www.camsonline.com. These include NAV lookup and dissemination service, portfolio valuation service, account lookup service and distributor performance broadcast services among others.

Any individual wishing to know the current net asset value (NAV) of any of the mutual funds serviced by CAMS may visit the site. Those who are unable to access the site frequently may subscribe to an NAV broadcast service that would send the most current NAV at a frequency of their choice, to an e-mail address. This e-mail is text formatted and can be seen even using shell e-mail accounts.

CAMS also offers an advanced NAV broadcast for financial professionals, giving recent NAV history and yields going back one year. These subscription services can be accessed through the website.

Under portfolio valuation service, CAMS offers investors in any of the mutual funds serviced by it a unique portfolio valuation service. This allows investors to request a portfolio valuation and performance statement to be sent to an email address of their choice at a frequency between weekly and annually.

Since CAMS acts as transfer agents to many mutual funds, investors may request an aggregated portfolio valuation that combines their investments held in different accounts in one or more mutual funds. The valuation statement also reports the appreciation contained in the portfolio and yield since inception by product.

Under account lookup services investors may look up their account status on the web site. The site also supports functionality that enables investors to request certain types of transactions such as change of address, change of bank, redemption transactions and switch transactions.

Also CAMS operates a 'club' of investors interested in mutual funds and investments. This club is open to all.
