Queries about your Brokerage?

Do you feel you have not received due brokerage on a transaction or not received brokerage at all from a Fund serviced by CAMS? Here are the most typical reasons. It will benefit you to carry out this self-check before sending a query to CAMS, as your query will be targeted and will enable us to respond faster. The FAQ below is based upon the most frequent reasons for complaints of this nature.

Check whether the subject transaction has been successfully processed under your ARN / broker code. This will reflect in your transaction feed of CAMS Distributor Mailback Services (and do confirm there has been no reversal for any particular reason, as all transactions, under your ARN, are reflected in Distributor Mailback transactions feed). You can also verify the transaction status from the "Status of your transaction" link on www.camsonline.com.

Whether the subject transaction / scheme qualifies for the brokerage payable. This is reflected as brokerage percentage and brokerage amount in the CAMS Distributor Mailback Services transaction feed against every successfully processed transaction, wherever the brokerage is applicable.

Do confirm that you have submitted the 'declaration' / 'code-of-conduct' letter for the requisite financial year to every single AMC, for release of your brokerage. Since failing which, brokerage is withheld, as per AMC instructions.

Whether total brokerage payable to you is equal / more than the minimum threshold amount set by each AMC, below which brokerage amount will be accumulated and paid later.
Having checked all above, if you find any transactions reflecting your distributor mailback services, but not reflecting in the monthly brokerage statement that you have received along with cheque, we shall be glad to address them immediately.
